Whisper
Parked, on the record.
An earbud and sEMG-band concept, deferred: registered, documented, no work planned.

Mirrored comma-shaped buds have scooped graphite faces, mineral brows and integral soft wings. Their stone case carries a diagonal seam and thumb trough. This is the ear configuration; the muscle-input band is separate.
Whisper concept illustration. Design and engineering remain exploratory.
Whisper is deferred. Its record is kept; no work is planned.
Follow WhisperKeep the entry; plan no work.
Whisper is the ear-worn concept the July 2026 product line proposed: paired concha earbuds with local ear-EEG and optical sensing, and a separate surface-muscle band. Its registry status is deferred: the family keeps its row, its tree and this page so the record stays whole, and no work is planned on it.

A small sculpture for the ear.
Two asymmetric concha crescents tuck their working volume into the ear. A mineral brow frames a scooped graphite face, flowing into a relieved soft wing and shallow replaceable sleeve.

Future shell / stone case
20.5 × 14 mm / 56 × 36 × 19 mm
Each shell targets 6–8 mm local depth, partly recessed into the concha; sleeve depth is separate. Fit, continuous audio power and the required custom thin cell remain unresolved.
Contact
Follow the turn of the ear.
The shell narrows and turns toward an offset shallow sleeve. Separate EEG reference and bias contacts, an optical window and a soft support wing make contact and retention part of the same fit study.
Anatomy
Leave room for listening.
A receiver and acoustic duct meet a replaceable wax guard and pressure vent, with a protected microphone inlet alongside. A thin cell, local sensing and audio electronics share the shell; the outward zone reserves radio space.
Care & charging
A case that finds the pair.
A stone-shaped case opens along a diagonal seam. Mirrored comma wells locate each bud, a front thumb trough helps opening, and removable sleeves keep daily care outside the electronics.
Why it stays registered.
The planned capture kit pairs an sEMG/IMU band with a head camera, so an ear-worn sensor adds nothing that a research task has named. The family is kept rather than deleted because a registry row, a devices tree and a catalog entry are one identity (ADR-0037); deferring it is the honest posture until, in a later phase (ADR-0136), a customer asks for what the bought sensors cannot do.
Where we are.
What comes next.
Implemented reference: a family integration using simulated signals, retained as is. No ear hardware, audio path or live contact quality exists, and none is scheduled.
A clear boundary
A deferred family makes no capability claim. The earlier drowsiness and sleep narratives are retired; nothing here is a safety system or a substitute for rest.
Deferred: the record, not a roadmap
- Designed forA record, not a roadmap.
- Whisper keeps its registry row, its devices tree and this page so the July 2026 concept stays on the record. The registry status is deferred: no work is planned.
- Next proofA named need for an ear-worn channel.
- The family moves from deferred only if, in a later phase (ADR-0136), a paying customer names something the sEMG/IMU band, the head camera and the glasses cannot supply, and only with a bought earbud standing in before any build.
- Research horizonNone while deferred.
- No research project, protocol or bet is open against this family today; a future one would be registered in research/ with a kill date before any session.
